Frisbee by
For my DT project today, I have used Frisbee from one of my favorite places to visit, The Vault and Mojo Monday 492. Our youngest granddaughter Quinn adores her frisbee so it was the perfect photo!

Pug Pups by ScrappyDew
My DT project today is from the Vault, Pug Pups 2012. It is special in many ways, apart from being very cute, we had a Pug named Todd for 16 and a half wonderful years. The photo I have used isn't his kennel, but belongs to Pepper and Stan, our youngest daughter and her husbands dog's. Verity hosted a party and Healey our eldest granddaughter thought it was a bit noisy and this was the result! She was quite content, lying here away from all the action ... Lol

Who is Spider Man? April 16, 2017 09:38

Hello and welcome to another Have Colors, Be Happy post.  This weekend is a birthday card and then tomorrow a Easter card.  So first let's see what colors I used.
ScrappyDew Vault Member file Super Heros view #7
Scrap Factory- Boy=No open Toes; Hair= Neil
Vault Member file Spider Web
Papers=American Crafts
     Peebles "KaBoom"
     Birthday Boy
Silver Bullet 24" Pro cutter Sure Cuts A Lot V4.059
All my tools of scrapbooking including the kitchen sink!
I imported the Spider Web file so that I could make a card base.  Just a heads up, don't forget to mirror one image so that when closed the card closes it goes together.  Great Tip!  I cut the spider web and then made both the masked and un-masked spider men.  Cut some letters and yippee I was done.

Here is how it came out.

I used holographic paper from the Dollar Tree.

This came out really cute.  I manipulated the head (basically cut it off to get the new head to fit).

Looking good.

The back of the card is decorated also.

I found these big books at a thrift store.  Chase loves to read.

My favorite children's author

The illustrations are fabulous. That's it for the first post this weekend.  Have a Happy Easter!
Bright Blessings, Jana

ScrappyDew Vault Membership by

I have been extremely busy lately and keep finding gorgeous SD files so I really am hard pushed to decide what to show for my DT project today.

So I have decided to use my couple of card photos. I have used a freebie Giraffe Mojo Monday 488, Little Babies Vault 2012 Mojo Monday 439, Nursery Babyz Vault 2011 Mojo Monday 395. The second photo has freebie Giraffe Mojo 490, Playroom Toys Vault 2011 Mojo Monday 446 and lastly Nursery Babyz Vault 2011 Mojo Monday 339. I have so much fun visiting the Vault, so many things to collect and not enough hours in the day to make them.

Don't forget to collect your Mojo Monday layouts too, they are fabulous. That's it for today I hope you are doing marvelous crafty things ~ Karen - DT.

Lil Buckaroo by

Another exciting one for me (I know they all are). I used Lil Buckaroo 2012, from one of my most loved places to visit, The Vault :) This is our eldest granddaughter Healey when she was very young. She is riding the rocking horse her Great Nanna made for her mother in 1983.

Desert and a Cactus! December 24, 2016 12:02

Now for something a little different...

Merry Christmas eve to all my crafty friends.  Gosh this year sure has gone quickly.  Just another week and we usher in 2017.  I for one am hoping for a absolutely fabulous 2017.  It just feels right for a change!

Todays post is a card I made for my BFF Tamara.  In August she moved from Virginia to Arizona.  I have to confess, I am so happy that she is only a 2 day drive away.

To celebrate her move, I designed a Christmas card I think she will get a kick out of.  So here are the lyrics...

~Cowboy Kids 2012 from the ScrappyDew Vault
~Speciality paper Desert background
~Silver Bullet Cutter 24" Professional
~Sure Cuts A Lot Software V4.055
~Stampin Up Birthday presents stamp
~All the normal stuff I forget to add on here

So here is what I dreamed up.  I had to shrink down the cactus from the Cowboy Kids 2012 file.  And from there it was just making the lights and finishing the card.  I hope you like it.

This is the front of Tami's Card.

The inside.  I just love the fir tree paper.

The back of the card and a pretty silver glitter envelope.
That's it for this week.  I do not know if I will have a ScrappyDew post for next week.  But I will have some exciting news.  Thank you all for the very nice comments about the new blog last week.  Still fiddling with it but basically it's done.
Merry Christmas and Happy Yule!
Bright blessings, Jana

Queen of Halloween November 08, 2016 07:16

Costume Palz 2

My next couple of DT Projects will be about Halloween. As children in Australia we never celebrated Halloween and neither did our children. Our grandchildren will probably be a totally different story. Miss Nelly loves to dress up and thanks to mostly her Aunt V, she has plenty of costumes to choose from. She didn't go trick or treating but boy did she have a ball dressing up. I used Mojo Monday 457, Costume Palz 2 for the witch, oh so much fun.

~DT ~ Karen~

Some Stuffgiving Decorations November 05, 2016 15:32

Hi everyone.  Did you all survive Halloween?  I actually had 28 little ones this year.  Much better than last year with only 1.  Well lets get started with what my friend Gunnar calls Thanksgiving, STUFFGIVING!!

I really needed something new for the mantel in the living room.  So I went looking in the ScrappyDew vault patterns.  I came up with Fall Time scarecrow 2012.  This file is adorable and not very time consuming.  I used mostly Recollections paper from Michaels.  I have the best luck cutting with it opposed to other paper from other stores.  I also used a file called Welcome Fall Palz 2012.
I just love that you can mix and match files to make just what you want.

No lyrics this week (time management issues) and if you have been following my blog, you pretty much know what I used.

Here is the Fall time Scarecrow 2012
This is the Welcome Fall Palz 2012

So this is what I came up with for the mantel.  It turned out really nice.
Hope everyone has a great week.
~Bright Blessings, Jana~

Bugs and Hisses!! October 29, 2016 16:11

A few weeks back I copied down a phrase from an adorable Halloween card that I wanted to create for my friend, Gunnar.  So thats what I did.  Here are the lyrics...

~ScrappyDew Vault Member files
     *Spider Web 2013
*Witch hat treat box created by
~Card stock Warehouse A2 Base
~DCWV Halloween stack 180
~My Silver Bullet Cutter
~SCAL 4.058 software
~Tools I grab from the top drawer of the tool chest

Here is the front!
This is the inside.
I wanted to show off the envelope.

I haven't heard if Gunnar has received his card yet.  But I have a feeling he will love it.  Have a great upcoming week my friends.  Bright Blessings,
~DT - Jana~

Australian Christmas October 24, 2016 19:19

Koala 2015

What fun I had creating my DT project this time (well I always do)!!

I was asked to make an Australiana card to be sent overseas. As I don't make many cards of this sort it was a bit of a challenge. I used the Christmas Tree Free file 12/7/2012, Little Koala 2015, Kangaroo from Zoo Palz 2 and the presents from Santa in Sled 2014.

Frankenstein Treat Box October 16, 2016 09:35

I have to give a big shoutout to my friend Debs Smith.  She saved my bacon with a pattern for a popcorn box.  Debs saves the day.  Now on to the lyrics...

~Popcorn Box pattern sent by Debs Smith
~The Frankensteins 2015 (a vault file)
~Steampunk Spells by Graphic 45
~Red double sided tape
~Sure Cuts A Lot Software
~My Silver Bullet 24" Professional cutter
~Tonic Micropoint scissors
~Liquid Pearls (Lavender Lace)
~Micron #1 black pen
~Pebbles classic Chalk
~Spectrum Noir Colored Pencils

This was put together as a treat box for our family physician.  I made snickerdoodle cookies and filled the popcorn box.  Here is the finished box.

Front of Box

As you can see I used a lot of G45 paper.

Here she is, Mrs. Frankenstein.

And Mr. Frankenstein!

I made a pocket and a sort of gift tag with it.

This is how I wrapped the cookies. The office staff and our doctor were thrilled to get this.  They all needed a pick me up for a Thursday afternoon.
That's it for this week.  I have 2 more popcorn boxes to make and a girly girl birthday card.  So for now, Bright blessings for the coming week!!!

Carving Time! October 11, 2016 12:22

Carving Pumpkins

Hey there! Since there's a little chill in the air, and Halloween is on it's way, today I'm sharing a two page scrapbook layout. The file used for this layout is Scrappy Dew Vault's Carving Time. I came across these pictures of the kids carving last year, and found the perfect file in the Vault!! Enjoy!

Kitty Palz - Box Card October 11, 2016 04:05

Kitty Palz

My DT Project is yet another box card, I'm a little addicted to them, the same as I am to the ScrappyDew Vault Membership. Love hunting around in there. This card was for my sister for her birthday as a cat lover it was perfect for her. I used Kitty Palz. I hope you like it.

Penguin Party! September 05, 2016 17:53

Chilly Willy Christmas

My DT project today is of our eldest granddaughters 6th birthday photos. She had her 1st 'official' party with her new school friends in Sunbury. It was a penguin themed party and there were penguins everywhere! A penguin eating fish, black bow ties, penguin food, penguin skittles, penguin posters and banners, I guess you get the drift, (there was so much more)!! I used Chilly Willy Christmas 2012, but thought the pictures appropriate. I hope you like it.

Family July 14, 2016 06:32

Family 2012 by

I wanted to share a layout of my youngest daughter, Larrisa, Son in law, Drew and my youngest grandson, Lestat. This is Lestat's 3 month pictures (I am just a bit behind on his year book since he is a year and a half! teehee) I am finding SD has a lot of files for the first year and I am LOVING IT! I used the Family 2012 file and changed it up a bit and left some of the family members off. I love how it turned out! Hope you all do too! Thanks for looking! ~GDT Christi

Melbourne Zoo, Austrailia May 29, 2016 18:41

Zoo Palz 2 by

I'm in love with the Vault, such great value!! I used Zoo Palz 2, 2012 for my latest 2 layouts and have so many more animals left to make. Melbourne Zoo Australia, is one of the best Zoo's in the world. In this layout my son-in-law used his Zoo experience to have an up close and personal visit with the giant tortoise.

Zoo Palz 2 by

Our eldest granddaughter at Melbourne Zoo, Australia. We are all members of the Zoo and love to visit as often as possible. As well as visiting the animals they have an educational room that the children can dress up in safari gear with binoculars or even be a vet with coat, stethoscope etc. The children learn about growing plants for conservation, they can care for animals (of the stuffed variety), and numerous other activities, well done Melbourne Zoo. I hope you like my layout!

Love Stinks May 20, 2016 12:50

Looking at ScrappyDew´s files, I found an adorable skunk.
It is one of the animals included on "Forest Palz 2", a 2012 file that you can find for free at ScrappyDew Members (The Vault)

Hope you love this as much as I do!!!!
Thanks for your visiting, have a great weekend.

Pirate Palz Box Card May 02, 2016 16:05

Pirate Palz by

Here is my DT box card, also using Pirate Palz 2011 from the ScrappyDew Vault. It is a little hard to see but there is a cannon and cannonballs tucked in there as well as the ship wheel on the other side panel, lots of bits and pieces to choose in this file. I hope you like it.

Grampy & Healey May 02, 2016 09:42

Pirate Palz by

I just had to delve into the ScrappyDew Vault again, such a wonderful place to visit for my DT project this week and use Pirate Palz. It's not often that I get such specific photos of my dear husband who adores and is adored by his granddaughters. Here he is dressed in his eldest granddaughters pirate costume playing with the sword and her with the hook. Such classic memories and such a wonderful pirate file. There is a girl pirate as well as a boy, fabulous.

I hope you like it

Just Plane Cute April 15, 2016 18:21

Almost all my makes are done for girls
(You know, I´m a girl lol)
But this week I made a card for a boy.
I used  "Young aviators (Baron Plane)" ScrappyDew´s cutting file
to make an airplane shaped card.

You can find this file on 2012 files on the "The Vault" (ScrappyDew´s Members) for just 1 golden coin.

Rest in Peace Dear Sammie April 02, 2016 13:29

Hi everyone.  Todays post is kinda sad.  My fellow ScrappyDew design team member Mary, gently helped her precious kitty Sammie cross the rainbow bridge last weekend.  Sammie was the coolest cat.  Mary could dress her up in baby clothes and would post pictures on Facebook.  When anyone looses a fur baby it is extremely hard.  So I thought I would make a sympathy card to send.  But first the lyrics...

~ScrappyDew Vault files Kitty Palz and Little Angels 2012
~Provo-Craft paper collection "Paw-sitive thinking" by Kristen Cook
~Cuttle bug and embossing folder swiss dots
~Recollections paper
~Fresco chalk ink pads
~Michaels Vellum sheets
~Aqua Stickles
~Momenta metal stickers/charms
~Ribbon (older than dirt)
~Silver Bullet Pro 24" cutter
~Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) V4.044
~and all the various items not including the kitchen sink (but I use that too)

Since I wanted to make the kitty look like Sammie, I got my ink pads out and my stippling brushes from way back.  Sammie was a Calico.  So this is how I inked the face and body.

It looks good!

I used black and golden brown. Next I took a chance and printed my sentiment on an overhead projector transparency sheet.  I figured if it could withstand the heat of an over projector then it probably would foil perfectly.  It did!

I found this verse on SCS site. So here is the finished card.  So glad this went together so well.

The wings have aqua stickles.  The little charms move.
I will write something and send it off.
The envelope and the back of the card.
Now the next post will be April 16th.  I have some orders for MISTI carrying cases to get made and sent out (see the previous post).  So see ya later.
Bright blessings, Jana

Spring Has Sprung March 18, 2016 14:42

Spring 2016 starts next Sunday 20th.
Flower blooming, birds chirping, love in the air.
This card is to welcome Spring.

To make my card, I mixed to different ScrappyDew´s cutting files:
Spring time mice (this is a 2012 file, available on The Vault, for just 3 golden coins)
Enjoy Spring!!!!

Past Holiday Howdies January 30, 2016 13:46

After all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, I have a much needed break with a dear friend to look forward to in January!

Hello all my crafty friends.  It's Saturday and I have a quick and easy thank you note card for you today.  Post holidays howdies was conceived many many years ago by my dear friend Elaine.  She lives in the big city and travels down to the valley especially to touch base with each close friend here.  We've been doing this for years.  The past couple of times I have made a thank you card (since she never lets me pay for anything).  But first lets go over the lyrics...

*Little Sweet Peas 2012 from of course ScrappyDew
*Girlfriends Laughing Set from Art Impressions
*24"Silver Bullet Cutter
*Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL4) software
*ColorBox mirrored solids paper
*DCWV Basic Stack
*Recollections Paper from Michaels
*3M spray adhesive and lean ground beef box from Costco (this is my spray box)
*Needle nose tweezers made by Tweezerman

The original Little Sweet Peas file is to announce twins.  Well I wanted to use the file as a thank you card.  So (pun intended) I used the letter "P" instead of the baby faces.  I had bought a stamp set recently called Girlfriends Laughing Set.  It was perfect for the inside.  So here is what I came up with...
I used the melted perler beads on the card for peas.
In the pic, the peas are frozen.

Don't you just love this stamp.  It was colored with Spectrum Noir
Alcohol Markers.  The background is chalk.

The back is a stamp I got at Joann Fabric and Craft many years ago. I sure hope that Elaine got a kick out of this.  It was a fun one to make.  I have a birthday card for my DIL to get done and then on to Valentines Day.  Thanks for stopping by!
Bright blessings for the coming week!  Jana

Expecting January 15, 2016 09:16

Expecting Couple
We get a new ornament for our tree every year and my favorite one is from the first time we were expecting, it is a bear couple and the mommy bear has a big tummy.  Naturally, this was one of my favorite files since the first time I saw it.  Something about the cute memory of a miracle inside.  It is from Scrappy Dew and it has moved to the vault in the 2012 files.  You can sign up for that here  There are so many files in the vault, I use it all the time.
I have to apologize for the pictures, I don't usually have the photos on the page yet so the flash didn't want to cooperate, also my phone died and I only have a very old, not so great camera to use.

Lazer Tag December 23, 2015 21:20

My boys were SO excited to play lazer tag!  My oldest loved it right from the beginning.  My second one took a little convincing, but mostly just because the vest was too big for him that it was uncomfortable.  The second time he actually went without a vest and loved just running around.  I have some really cute pictures of them just before the game started that I need to dig up.  My 3rd guy was too small to play but some workers will let them in, so the next time we went they all 3 got to play and loved it.  I am kicking myself that I didn't get a picture of my 3rd little guy.
I chose the lazer tag set that can be found inside the ScrappyDew Vault.  I love the vault, there are so many fun files in there!  I also used the Dew Drops Facial Stamps 2 and 3.  I let my boys choose their own faces.  My oldest chose the mad face, because "we are about to go to war and I need to look tough."
Thanks for stopping by.

Fast & Easy Christmas Gift Tags December 11, 2015 08:09

Everybody needs lots and lots of gift tags for Christmas gifts.
And in this pretty busy days we need it "fast & easy"
I want to share with you my idea:
A bunch of gift tags made with the adorable "Christmas Bears-2011" ScrappyDew´s file.
This file is available for free on ScrappyDew´s Vault Program
To make it fast & easy, I used "print & cut" feature of my Silhouette Cameo.

I hope you can find useful this idea for Christmas.

That's a Wrap!! November 21, 2015 13:50

I am so happy today.  I get to show you all the cards that I have made for the 2015 edition of the Holiday House Bazaar.  It's the only bazaar that I do all year.  Welcome to Rhapsody on Paper's normal Saturday post.  So glad you could join me on this important day.  This post will be a slightly different format.  I will show each card and give the lyrics underneath the photo.  So lets get busy.

First up are the specialty cards I made this year.  Living in Oregon, we have 2 fantastic state universities.  The U of O Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers.  I made slider cards including envelopes for each team.  Let's start with the Ducks.

The front of the card.  I used the ScrappyDew Homecoming Palz 2012
file which can be found in the Vault.

The inside

The back Next up are the Oregon State Beavers.  Used the exact same format as the Duck cards.

Next up are all the Christmas themed cards.  These were a lot of fun to make.  I just hope they sell.  (mama needs her fancy colored pencils)

This ScrappyDew file can be found under X-Mas Palz
in the ScrappyDew Vault.

This ScrappyDew file is called Reindeers.  Of course in
the vault.  Did you see the pretty pink nails?

This is a ScrappyDew file that MichelleMyBelleCreations
made.  You can find this on Michelle's blog.

I used the ScrappyDew Snowflakes file that can
be found in the vault.  I also used a file provided
by Birds Cards.

Isn't he just the cutest Santa.  He can be found in the Vault.

That is all of my Christmas for Holiday House 2015.  Now next week I have a special announcement.  Hope you can join me!!!  Now on to my personal Christmas cards....
Bright Blessings, Jana

Football Slider Card November 14, 2015 13:32

Way back in January, I had asked my dear friend Michelle (michellesmybellecreations) to remind me in July to start getting ready to make the huge batch of cards for the Holiday House Bazaar (Holiday House 2015, Newport, Oregon).  If you follow ScrappyDew on facebook, then you saw and hopefully participated in the Christmas in July promotion!  This was her way of saying, "Jana, get your cards started, NOW!"

So I did. (ya, hard to believe but i did) I got every element cut out and there they sat.  They sat and sat until the end of October.  Then it became crunch time.  I have been holed up in the studio gluing and folding getting the first bath of 100 done.  I have also finished all the envelopes (200).  So here are the lyrics...

~ScrappyDew Home Coming Palz 2012
      *Football pattern
~Recollections Solid Colors
     *Orange, Beige
~NeeNah Black card stock
Foil Master Machine and Red Foil
~My Incredible Silver Bullet 24" Pro cutter
~Sure Cuts A Lot V4
~200 Pennies
~A Gazillion of pop dots
~Font is Antiqua 101
~2 cans of 3M super 77 spray adhesive
~My trusty needle nosed tweesers

Having everything already cut was a huge bonus.  I cut each element of the card and put into a a ziploc snack bag and then into a GLAD WARE plastic container.  It's just a matter of creating an assembly line.  Standing on my GelPro mats makes it so much easier on my lower back.  Also listening to MountainChill Radio on iTunes and having Febreze Jolly Pine wax melts in the warmer, I was all set for a long crafting couple of weeks.  So here are the Football Slider cards for Oregon State University I have made.

Front of card.

All 100 cards into 20 5 card bundles.

This is my bazaar travel bag.  It stays packed with
leftover card from the year before.  Has a handle and
is really easy rolling.  (from Tuesday Morning 4 years ago)
The only thing left to be ready for the Bazaar is to put the hang tags on each bundle of cards.  Below you can see all the elements for the next batch.  100 University of Oregon Football slider cards.

Next weeks post!
Thank you so much for joining me on this Saturday!  I am off to finished the next batch of Bazaar cards.

Bright blessings, Jana

Being Neighborly October 31, 2015 14:55

I have two sets of neighbors that are the BEST.  The neighbor across the street has a birthday the day before Halloween.  I would image that growing up, she got a lot of cards that were themed Halloween.  I didn't want to do that.  So I have created a birthday girl with a great quote.  So let's see the lyrics...

~ScrappyDew High School Girl
This pattern is only available in the Vault.  If you haven't checked out Vault     membership you really should.
~HOTP Blossoms on Aqua paper
~HOTP Purple Flowers
~Graphic 45 Mystical Masterpiece
~Graphic 45 Jasmine Nights
~Printed ribbon
~Heart Brads
~Sticky Gems
~My Silver Bullet 24" Pro Cutter
~Sure Cuts a Lot Software
~Foil Master & purple and red foil
~straight edge, needle nose tweesers, scissors, 3M super 77 spray adhesive, brad splitter, and thanks to MountainChill radio station that can be found on facebook.

This birthday card went together very quickly.  Nothing hard or fancy about it.  Just zip, zip and zip.  So here it is....

The front
The inside

The back She really got a kick out of it.  Of course I was delivering a Halloween treat also.  Here is what I made for both neighbor families...

I found this idea on my FB wall back in July/August.  They are chocolate cupcakes
decorated with white chocolate pretzels and marshmallows. So that's it for this week.  I wish you have a wonderful Halloween weekend.  I am finishing up the bazaar cards and starting Christmas cards for myself.  See you back here next week!
Bright blessings, Jana

Haunted House September 26, 2015 10:09

Cute and Spooky!

Mary’s rainy day project turned out pretty awesome. It's the perfect mix of creepy and cuteness all in one.

She combined several digital files to create her Halloween Masterpiece. Scrappy Castle, Halloween Palz Collection, and Halloween Cuties which can be found in the ScrappyDew Vault. To create the perfect expression for her piecings, she used the Facial Expressions stamp set.
